The institute is 143 bed, acute care, general medical/surgical hospital that is continually expanding and growing to meet the increasing needs and demands of patients in the region.

Within the last 5 years the American Hospital has increased by over 25%, facilities added include a Dialysis Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Suite, Heath Center and Outpatient building.
